In the course Master of Science in Physics the whole curriculum carries from the understanding basics of Physical Sciences. Physics, a subject which is fast growing span to the entire spectrum of science and technology including next generation electronics, Laser Technology, Magnetism, Super Conductors, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics Computers-Simulations, Medicine, and agriculture etc. India as well as other developing countries has already taken steps to train physical science background manpower to carry out Research and Development (R&D) activities in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is considered the next generation Industrial Revolution without which the industrial sector cannot sustain.

For every qualitative research, it requires knowledge about analytical methods which are most frequently utilizing in the new and advanced research findings. The promising fact that we are happy to explore the standards to the mark in analytical physics and we are promoting our views in teaching for nation needs.

This is two year/four Semester degree program. The course basically focuses on developing mathematical skills in Mechanics, Electromagnetism and Electronics etc. It also prepares you for higher studies. Physics emphasizes on the concept of developing models and techniques to analyze phenomenon.


Scope of the course

After completion of your post graduation in Physics, you can pursue higher studies like M.Phil, M.Tech and Ph.D in Physics from Indian Institute of Science, IITs, IISERs, Central universities and others at cutting edge research centers across INDIA. Excellent career opportunities are available in Research, Teaching and Technical institutions for example you may get opportunities as JRFs, Project fellows in many Indian prestigious organizations/institutes like DRDO, BARC and ISRO etc. The M.Phil / Ph.D program will cover a broad range of disciplines to enable the trained postgraduates to make an objective judgment of the scientific importance and technological potential of developments in micro- and nanotechnologies and to perform a range of activities related to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The study program will thus prepare the student to take the challenge of meeting not only national needs in diverse areas of Nanoscience and nanotechnology but also to continue toward advanced studies.


Admission guidelines

The Admission to Students who have completed graduate examination with B.Sc degree having Mathematics and physics subjects or its equivalent is/are eligible for admission into M.Sc-Physics.

The third semester encompasses the advanced concepts of Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear physics and Embedded Systems along with programming skill development through C & C++ languages. The fourth semester is specifically targeted to further strengthen the knowledge of Analytical Techniques study, Quantum Mechanics, Electronics, and Communications along with a major project in Electronics.
